A 50-BORE BOX-LOCK PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL, SIGNED WILSON, no visible serial number, circa 1830s conversion of a circa 1800 flintlock, with 2 in. turn-off muzzle-engraved octagonal steel barrel signed 'Wilson London on top flat, ovoid box-lock with border and scroll engraving, high-spurred dolphin hammer, drop-down trigger, engraved tangs, chequered walnut grips with steel butt cap and blank white metal diamond-shaped escutcheon, Birmingham proofs, butt-cap a little misshapen and a couple of pressure marks to the left grip, 6 1/2 in. overall
